The long awaited announcement finally hit us on the 16th March 2015 and I was certainly delighted and some what relieved to get my hands on the British Beauty Blogger Dream Box III. Jane Cunningham (The British Beauty Blogger) and Latest in Beauty joined forces again to bring the third edition within the Dream Box series, boasting 16 beauty must-have’s picked by Jane herself with an exceptional value of £110.00. Whilst the box contained a few repeats for me there was still more than enough inside the box to keep me interested and like it’s predecessors it’s been a big hit and unsurprisingly popular. You really can’t beat these editions and they are undoubtedly the crème de la crème when it comes to beauty boxes with this edition being a firm favourite of mine. It’s a fantastic curation and one which truly lets us in on some of Jane’s favourites which she has personally tried and tested.

The BBB Dream Box III has all area’s covered from skin loving treats, nail varnish, make up and even some hair and body fixes perfect for the arrival of the new season . The box showcases a great mixture of brands from both high-end and budget-friendly brands and includes a variety of good sized deluxe samples and full sized products.

1.   Ole Henrikson Pure Truth Melting Cleanser – Sample Size 15ml

I have some what of a love affair with Ole Henrikson since being introduced to his miraculous Truth Oil last year and was extremely happy to see a cleanser from the same range as I’ve been really wanting to try more.

This cleanser is designed to gently melt away stubborn makeup and impurities with a unique, innovative formula that transforms from a gel to an oil to a milk. It’s enriched with antioxidant-rich vitamin C, rose hips and virgin cherry oil which claims to nourish and protect your skin against harsh environmental aggressors,  whilst hydrating your skin to leave it feeling completely purified leaving you with a soft and supple texture.

I have high hopes for this cleanser and if it performs anything like the oil I know I will absolutely love it!

2.   Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Mask – Full Size 50ml RRP £18.50

I can’t even begin to imagine how many of these masks I already own as they’ve been featured in quite a few beauty boxes!

The Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beaute Mask injects the skin with a surge of moisture within 10 ten minutes and promises to provide 24 hour rehydration for thirsty skin. It’s suitable for sensitive and dehydrated skin types.

The mask hydrates, soothes the skin and instantly reduces discomfort or redness with its skin loving ingredients such as 8 plant milks, aloe vera sap, almond and orange white flowers, all of which are abundant within the lovely fragrance of this mask. I’ve used this masque quite a few times since being introduced last year and I really like the instant cooling and soothing sensation it provides as well as giving a radiant and brighter complexion. Not only can this be used as a hydrating mask it’s also great for all year round especially for soothing skin that’s been over-exposed to the sun.

3.   Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau de Parfum – Sample Vial Size 1.5ml

This delicate, but warming scent brings instant sunshine in a bottle with a lovely sweet fragrance. I already own this perfume and absolutely adore the sophisticated fruity notes which is an instant mood booster and the longevity is pretty impressive too being a eau de parfum.  It’s a great Spring/Summer scent that will blend in seamlessly with the arrival of spring.

4.   Benefit They’re Real! Remover – Sample Size 7.5ml

If you own anything from the Benefit They’re Real collection you will know what a pain and nightmare it is to remove both the liner and the mascara, it just doesn’t budge which isn’t a bad thing but when you’re tired and just want to go to bed you want something quick and effective and this is where this remover saves the day!

I’m not usually a fan of gel-based removers and much prefer liquid formulas but I had to purchase this last year to as nothing else seemed to work effectively when trying to remove the Benefit They’re Real liner, it’s probably the only time I reach out for it but this sample size will definitely come in useful when traveling.

5.   Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Lotion with Tanning Mitt – Sample Size 20ml

With my complexion looking on the Edward Cullen side, I’m always happy to receive tanning products and Vita Liberata isn’t a brand I’ve tried before.

This tanning formula promises to deliver an ultra hydrating natural tan result with lasting results whilst guaranteeing a perfect fade. It’s gentle formula is perfect for dry, sensitive and mature skin types and can be applied on the face and body. As well as the sample there’s also a tanning mitt too.

6.   Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet – Full Size RRP £9.00

I already own a couple of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets and their shade collection is strong ranging from classy reds, pretty pinks and everyday nudes and you’ll simply be amazed with the bold matte finish. I received the shade Nude-ist which is beautiful pinkish rose nude. I’ve never been able to pull-off a nude shade but this has the perfect hue and you don’t even have to worry about this washing you out!

If you’re looking for a hybrid between a matte gloss and a long wearing lipstick – this is it. The product lasts a solid six hours with very little wearing mainly at the corners; not to mention the fact that you can eat and drink to your heart’s content, without overly ruining your lips! The application goes on like a dream and leaves your lips feeling rather soft just like velvet. It’s one of those lipsticks which you can just forget about without having to worry about touch ups.

7.   The Scottish Fine Soaps Company Luxury Soap – Full Size 100g £4.95

It was only recently that I was introduced to The Scottish Fine Soaps Company and instantly fell in love with their dreamy Au Lait body wash so was happy to see a soap version from the same collection presented beautifully within it’s very own stylish tin.

The Au Lait soap is triple milled and contains soothing and protecting Shea Butter enriched with natural Vitamins A and E for exceptional smoothness and smells just like baby bathing products with a very soothing fragrance. I really like the tin which ensures the soap is kept nice and neat and it’s compact enough to tag along when traveling too.

8.   SALON SCIENCE® Reglosse™ Smoothing Serum – Full Size 50ml RRP £18.00

Oh my! This product alone is nearly the same value as the box itself and comes in the form of smoothing serum from Salon Science, not a brand I’ve heard from before but I welcome anything which promises to inject moisture and tame unruly frizzy hair.

REGLOSSE™  is a rich, smoothing serum which contains tocopherol and grape seed extract to help tame and instantly nourish dry, frizzy, uncontrollable hair. The formulation also helps to repair split ends and smooths unruly flyaways with silicone components to help replenish and retexturise hair for a controlled but radiant, ultra-soft finish.

I do love it when brands incorporate innovation with beauty and I can’t wait to give this a try when I next wash my hair.

9.   DECIEM Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex – Full Size 30ml RRP £7.99

I’ve received this hand cream in a previous box and my mum was at the ready to quickly claim this so I’m glad I’ve got another one for myself!

The Hand Chemistry range has formed somewhat of a stir in the beauty industry and the store Boots even confirmed that this outselled every other hand and body product in their stores despite the 100ml tube costing £18.00.

This cream which has a concentrated, multi-functional formula that simultaneously targets eight signs of hand ageing and the nourishing elements contain 19.5% active ingredients that work to improve firmness, smoothness and evenness. The most grabbing statement is “expect visible results in less than 11 days”.

This sample itself is really good-sized and I’m looking forward to road testing this.

10.  Eye Of Horus Pencil Eyeliner – Full Size RRP £17.00

I think it’s great to see this lust-worthy brand inside this box and it’s definitely one of the highlights. Eye of Horus not only sells beautiful cosmetics but also promotes the ethos of ancient natural beauty basing their whole brand on the beliefs, formulas and ingredients of the ancient Egyptians.

There are different variants of shades and I received the Lazuli Blue Goddess Pencil, a dashing electric blue colour which is bound to get you noticed.

Even with just a quick swatch on the eyes, I was pleasantly surprised by the creamy texture, the longevity and the bold colour pay off. This pencil literally glides on like a dream and the colour itself is truly stunning. Being a black eyeliner obsessive I was convinced I wasn’t going to like the shade but I actually really love it and I’d have never picked this myself – Thanks Jane!

 11.   Makeup Revolution One Fluid Blush – Full Size 14.4g RRP £3.00

Makeup Revolution has hit the beauty industry like a storm offering great quality whilst being super-affordable too. I’ve tried quite a few make up bits from their lipsticks to their beautifully packaged blushers and without fail it’s always exceeded my expectations and has become one of my budget beauty gems. There’s no such thing as browsing when it comes to this brand and it’s extremely difficult to walk away with an empty basket as they are always releasing new products.

I received the shade Desire, a flattering rose colour liquid blush which blends in effortlessly,  providing you use the tiniest amount, even a drop of this liquid is way too much due to the intensity of the colour so a little really goes a very long way! Once blended out, the colour gives a healthy rosy glow and really pops out the cheekbones! Due to the great pigment you can achieve a subtle morning look to even something a bit more edgy for the evenings.

12.   Dr Organic Lip Balm  – Full Size 5.7ml RRP £3.49

I have lip balms scattered everywhere from the bedside table, my handbag and there’s even one on my desk at work so I’m always happy to receive another as a back up.

This moisturising and nourishing balm for dry lips combines the soothing properties of Organic Aloe Vera with the moisturising and nourishing properties of Shea butter and beeswax alongside SPF 15 protection too. I love fruity scents and this one smells utterly cherrylicious.

13.   Essence Nail Polishes x2  – Full Size 8ml RRP £1.60 each

It was only last week that I was introduced to my first ever Essence product and was really happy to make another discovery in the form of two generous varnishes.

I personally like to coordinate with the seasons and both of the colours are perfect for welcoming spring.

14.   Crabtree & Evelyn Pear and Pink Magnolia Body Lotion  – Travel Size 50ml RRP £5.00

I absolutely adore Crabtree and Evelyn especially their hand creams, they are truly heavenly so was happy to receive a travel sized body lotion from their Pear and Pink Magnolia collection.

This lightweight moisturising and conditioning body lotion contains glycerine and panthenol for soft and silky smooth skin. It contains an enticing aroma of fresh, juicy pear blended with the delicate floral notes of pink magnolia, jasmine and osmanthus.

When I think of Magnolia, old fashioned but a classic springs to mind and it’s not a scent which I am particularly fond of,  but as soon as I got a whiff of this I instantly fell in love. The combination of the pear alongside the magnolia works really well with a rather modern take bringing an inviting aroma of freshness and all things spring. It’s the perfect fragrance to usher in the new season and for the warm sunny days ahead of us.

15.   Orelia Temporary Tattoos (1 sheet)  – £5.00

Who remembers temporary tattoos from their childhood? I certainly do and recently they’ve made a comeback but in a much more sophisticated style. These gold and silver transfers appear to be all the rage at the moment and on-trend, and with Jane’s vast knowledge of ‘what’s in’, she’s kindly included a pack of these fashion accessories inside the box. Whilst I’m not too sure whether I could pull these off, I think they would look great at festivals or when strolling along a beach!

My Verdict

When it comes to beauty boxes, they really don’t get any better than these editions and there’s so much to love about this box. Once again I’m blown away with Jane’s picks and this edition being my ultimate favourite from the series features a lust-worthy line up bursting with a wide selection of beauty fixes and delightful treats.  As well as the box being brimmed to the top without a gap in sight the line up covers all areas of beauty and showcases both high end and budget-friendly beauty brands so you’re definitely bound to fall in love with the majority if not everything. In terms of the make up shades ,this can be quite difficult to get spot on especially when taking into account different skin tones, but I think Jane has done a superb job and I’m really chuffed as there’s nothing that I wouldn’t of picked myself and admittedly this is probably the first ever box where I’ve actually liked all of the make up – how novel!

Overall I’ve really enjoyed discovering everything within this box and there’s nothing that I won’t continue to use apart from the temporary tattoo’s which I’m still in two minds about!  Whilst I’ve really been enjoying some of my winter beauty products, I’m so ready to stash these away and embrace spring with my new bunch of products.

Individually, the products would cost a whopping £110.00, but you can get your hands on the whole lot for just £21.95 including free postage making it super-affordable and great value for money. The box also includes some discount codes to redeem against the brands showcased within the box, which is great if you fall in love with any of the products.
